Founder and CEO of QRC, Jo Stoddart was born and raised in the UK.
Jo has personal experience of international relocation, both as a single person and with a family. After many years working in France and a brief spell back in the UK, she gained valuable in-depth knowledge of commercial and residential property when working with leading estate agents first in Jersey and then in Guernsey.
Her agency work dealing with clients who were relocating, together with her own personal experience, made her aware of the benefits that an independent property search service could offer those who are unfamiliar with the Channel Islands’ property scene.
Understanding that relocation is not just about finding a suitable home, but also involves important decisions about education, childcare, finance and tax amongst other things, Jo founded QRC and designed a range of services to provide practical and logistical support for busy people.
Since joining the relocation industry in 2010, Jo has undertaken studies through the European Relocation Association’s (EuRA) industry training scheme. She has already achieved ERQ 3 and was one of the first graduates of the European Academy of Relocation Professionals’ MIM programme (Managing International Mobility) in 2013.
In July 2013 Jo was elected to the Council of the Association of Relocation Professionals (ARP) in the UK representing the relocation industry’s Destination Service Providers.
In 2014, Jo won two national awards – the “Best Property Finder” Award for QRC’s work with private clients and the “Best Destination Services Provider” Award for QRC’s work with international relocation management companies.
Jo was seconded by the States of Guernsey to become Director of “Locate Guernsey” in Autumn 2018. She will retain her CEO position and financial interest in QRC, but will step away from the day to day activities.
